Artist Biography
Winners of the prestigious Wanderland festival band competition in 2015, Oh, Flamingo!’s music—like their namesake bird—seems custom built for frolics and gambolling on the beach. Howard Luistro, Pappu de Leon, Billie Dela Paz and Pat Sarabia track everything in their collective loves, from post-rock to psychedelia and Caribbean island sounds, and smoosh them together on their EPs (2015’s eponymous debut and 2020’s Volumes) into something that sounds very pink and very Filipino, without any compromise and with feet still solidly on indie rock territory.
