Norman North is the country alias of DJ Chose, a Houston hip-hop producer who gained fame for his work with Megan Thee Stallion, Trey Songz, Kodak Black, and Plies. After building an impressive rap résumé in the 2010s, North began releasing country music in 2020, a shift inspired by his desire to reconnect with the music his late mother loved.
