Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started listening to music when my dad introduced me to The White Album by The Beatles as a kid. I got into writing music after discovering Jamiroquai and Bill Withers around the age of 18.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bill Withers, Just As I Am D'Angelo, Voodoo Frank Ocean, Blonde I started making music by imitating Bill Withers because his key perfectly matched my vocal range. Frank Ocean's Blonde inspired me to stay creative, and Voodoo by D'Angelo remains my all-time favorite, introducing me to the deep world of soul music.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Butter” This song is the most successful one in my career, not just because it has many plays but because I feel it was the first time I was able to successfully express my unique worldview through music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I had a session with Hikaru Utada in London in 2016, I experienced the professional music world at a world-class level. She also helped me launch my career and opened the door for me to move out of Japan.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My ultimate dream isn’t singing on big stages or earning money but creating the greatest record. I want to turn my life into songs, record them with the latest tech, and craft timeless art that will be remembered for generations long after I’m gone.
