About Missing Texture
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to "Rosa Parks" and "The Way You Move" by Outkast when I was probably 7 or 8 years old with my dad before going to school. It was so relaxing to hear those songs right before school.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? BROCKHAMPTON, SATURATION III JPEGMAFIA, LP! ericdoa, things with wings BROCKHAMPTON, Peggy, and Eric have inspired me for years and help me appreciate music on a much deeper level than I could've ever imagined. I have invested so much of myself into these 3 artists; I owe them a lot.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bonsai” Before I made "Bonsai" I was on a long break from making music- about a year and some change. Something big happened in my life around this time, and it pushed me to start thinking about expressing myself again. It was the start of a new era for me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I was working back home over Summer break last year, I had a man come up to me and ask if I was "the texture guy". After I said yes, we talked about how he knew me and who he was- turns out his son just really liked my music, and put him on too.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To guest on the TMG podcast, meet my favorite artists- all of that. But honestly, I'd like my music to help someone out there. That's really my ultimate goal. Whether it helps someone realize they aren't alone, or just gets them on their feet- gold.
