Hip-hop producer Knxwledge has lent his versatile beats to artists like Kendrick Lamar and Joey Bada$$ and earned critical raves as one-half of the funk-soul duo NxWorries, alongside singer-rapper Anderson .Paak.
• Knxwledge grew up playing instruments in church, listening to hip-hop on the radio, and absorbing the music of legendary Detroit producer J. Dilla.
• He coproduced “Momma” for Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly.
• In 2016, Knxwledge and Anderson .Paak showcased their chemistry on Yes Lawd!, the debut album by their duo NxWorries.
• Knxwledge’s 2020 album 1988—his second LP for the venerable hip-hop label Stones Throw—is 38 minutes of cleansing gospel, groovy slow jams, soulful ballads, and snippets of interviews and conversations.
