Bristol-based singer/songwriter Katy J Pearson lends her radiant, high-tremolo vocals to country-tinged, 1970s-influenced songs that often share an affectionate, breezy feel. Her debut album, Return, appeared in 2020. Two years later, Sound of the Morning found her diversifying her sound with grittier input from Speedy Wunderground founder Dan Carey on select tracks. She continued to subtly elaborate on her singer/songwriter core with 2024's Someday, Now, produced by avant-pop producer Bullion.
