Alongside fellow Puerto Rican transplant Nova “La Amenaza,” reggaetón MC Jory Boy first made his name in the duo Nova y Jory.
∙ He went solo following the release of 2011’s Mucha Calidad, the first—and only—Nova y Jory album, which featured a guest appearance from reggaetón star Daddy Yankee.
∙ In 2015, Jory Boy released his debut solo album, Matando La Liga, which included collaborations with Wisin, Omega, and Farruko.
∙ “Detras de Ti (Remix),” an Ozuna-featuring track from 2016’s Otra Liga, was Jory Boy’s first No. 1 hit, topping the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
∙ He collaborated with Latin trap giant Bad Bunny on the Platinum-selling 2017 single “No Te Hagas,” the video for which has garnered more than 200 million views.
∙ Colombian reggaetón and trap star Maluma, who previously guested on Otra Liga, invited Jory Boy to join him on “Mai Mai,” a track from his hit 2020 album, Papi Juancho.
Jory Boy has also released music as a member of Nova y Jory.
