About JEON SOYEON
Artist Biography
Growing up in Seoul, South Korea, Jeon So-yeon (known primarily as JEON SOYEON or Soyeon) found her calling in rap: After landing an audition as a trainee for Cube Entertainment, the young vocalist participated in game shows and solo work before being announced as the leader for Cube's new girl group, (G)I-DLE. At the helm of (G)I-DLE, Soyeon helped the band become a force to be reckoned with. The group quickly landed multiple chart-dominating EPs (I Am, I Made, I Trust) as well as Top Ten singles like "Hwaa" and "Hann (Alone)." With her group touted as one of K-Pop's new shining lights, Soyeon began to take steps toward a solo career. After working with games company Riot Games on virtual band K/DA, she released her debut solo EP, Windy, under the name JEON SOYEON.
