Since 2019, K-pop girl group ITZY has topped the South Korean album charts and scored multiple hit singles.
∙ “Dalla Dalla”—their energetic breakout single from early 2019—became the first debut hit from a K-pop group to be certified Platinum.
∙ In the summer of 2019, their smash hit “Icy,” from their It’z Icy EP, reached No. 1 on the Billboard K-pop Hot 100.
∙ In 2020, ITZY won Rookie of the Year honors at the Golden Disc Awards and was named New Artist of the Year at the Seoul Music Awards.
∙ “Wannabe”—the lead single from the 2020 EP It’z Me—became the group’s international breakthrough hit, charting in the US, Canada, Malaysia, and New Zealand.
