∙ Singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow’s folk-pop debut album, 2010’s Early in the Morning, went Gold in his native Ireland.
∙ He made his first TV appearance in 2011 on the long-running BBC music show Later… with Jools Holland, performing his song “This Old Dark Machine.”
∙ Recorded in a studio on a pecan farm in rural Texas, McMorrow’s hit sophomore album, 2014’s Post Tropical, incorporated elements of vintage soul and hip-hop.
∙ In 2016, his cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” was widely heard in an HBO trailer for Game of Thrones’s sixth season.
∙ With contributions from R&B/hip-hop producer Nineteen85, McMorrow’s third album, 2016’s We Move, reached the Top 20 of three different Billboard charts.
∙ His vocals are featured on the Drake song “Hype,” from his chart-topping 2016 album, Views.
