Artist Biography
European hard rock masters Gotthard have enjoyed massive success in their home country of Switzerland where nearly every one of their albums has reached number one. Updating the riffy rock of titans like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Whitesnake, Gotthard were an immediate hit when they debuted in the early-'90s and by the decade's end they'd notched three consecutive Swiss chart-toppers while building a solid fan base around Europe. They entered the 21st century with 2001's career milestone, Homerun, then remained on top for the next two decades, weathering the death of their frontman Steve Lee and navigating into their next era with singer Nic Maeder. Although their output slowed in later years, Gotthard managed to hang on to the number one spot with with 2025 album, Stereo Crush.
