Romantic ballad singer Francisco González Sarriá was born in Alicante, Spain, in 1959. In 1981 he released his Camilo Sesto-produced debut album, and achieved international fame when he won the Festival OTI de la Canción with the song "Latino." In the following years Francisco issued a series of successful records, but by the end of the decade his career had slowed down. In the 1990s he also began to perform as an opera singer, and in 1992 he scored another Festival OTI win with "A Dónde Voy Sin Ti." His popularity surged again in 2011 when he played the villain of the movie Torrente 4 and appeared in the TV contest Tu Cara Me Suena. In 2017 Francisco celebrated 35 years in show business with a live album in which he performed his biggest hits backed by a symphonic orchestra. ~ Mariano Prunes
