Artist Biography
Following in the footsteps of Canada's genre-blending forebears, Duvy has established himself as one of the most versatile vocalists on his country’s rap scene. Raised in Toronto, Duvy began getting serious recognition after releasing songs like "Gotta Stack It" and "Why Lie" between 2018 and 2019. Flaunting a knack for melody, he merged Auto-Tune with harsh, unpolished street raps for a sound that quickly made him an artist to watch in his region. By late 2019, he dropped his debut project, Jane Babies, a project that showcased his evolved sound. On that release, he found new pockets to slide into while pushing his fluttering vocals in unpredictable directions as he oscillated between braggadocious trap ("Drip Talk") and dancehall ("Mad Ting"). He continued building his buzz with "Nightmarez" in 2020 and "For Da Broz" in 2021, tracks that cemented his place as one of Toronto's most malleable stylists.
