Christian rock singer Cody Carnes started his career as a member of Gateway Worship before embarking on a solo career. ∙ Carnes married his primary collaborator and former Gateway Worship bandmate, Kari Jobe, in 2014. ∙ His first solo album, The Darker the Night / The Brighter the Morning, debuted at No. 17 on both Billboard’s Heatseekers and Top Christian Albums charts. ∙ “The Blessing (Live),” featuring Kari Jobe and Elevation Worship, won Worship Recorded Song Of The Year at the 2020 GMA Dove Awards.
