A Northern California native, Chris Hart fell in love with Japanese culture when he took a school-sponsored trip to Japan at age 13.
∙ In 2012, Hart quit his job as a vending-machine serviceman after appearing on the Nippon Television music show Nodojiman The World.
∙ His 2013 cover of Yusaku Kiyama’s “home” reached No. 8 on the Oricon Singles Chart.
∙ He won New Artist of the Year at the 2014 Japan Gold Disc Awards.
∙ In 2019, Hart collaborated with English songwriter Paul Ballard on the score and sound design of Canadian TV drama Viaticum.
