Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 8, my aunt taught me to sing vocal harmonies by ear, as I sat in her Toyota Corolla. I used to envy my cousin, a natural soprano, getting to sing the melody. But I'm so grateful for that lesson, it's helped every song I've made.

I almost didn't make it home from Boston to see him. The last word he ever said was my name. I hold on to hope that we'll meet again and that I'd heal from the hurt of losing him to live a life he'd be proud of.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Finding out I was nominated for Boston Music Awards Best R&B/Soul artist while on the way to play my first show in NYC.
