An artist undeniably dedicated to the Singapore scene, THELIONCITYBOY has a moniker that says it all. One of the country’s most prolific acts, Kevin Lester started out fronting local bands Bonafide Vintage Flav’r and SIXX in the early 2000s before graduating to a solo rap career. His passion is carved in his spits, with lyrics that often touch on local issues—such as taking on political figures in 2016’s “HRLY (Harry Lee)”, and examining world issues that affect Singapore (see 2020 EP Circus Breaker).
