Frontman Josh Katz and guitarist Joey Morrow first met in 2008 while living in the same Hollywood apartment building.
∙ Recording in a sweltering garage, Badflower repeatedly paused sessions for their 2016 EP, Temper, when Katz’s laptop had to be placed in a freezer to prevent it from overheating.
∙ In 2017, they signed to John Varvatos Records, the famed fashion designer’s eponymous label.
∙ Actor Johnny Galecki, best-known for his role on TV’s The Big Bang Theory, has appeared onstage with the band and also starred in the video for their 2018 single “Heroin.”
∙ Katz, who suffers from panic attacks, channeled his struggles with mental health into “Ghost,” the lead single from Badflower’s debut album, OK, I’m Sick.
∙ Both “Heroin” and their 2019 single “The Jester” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
