I remember back when I was just a young boy

Of mom and dad and my sweet family

Times were hard but we always seemed to make it

Cause God seemed to somehow know our every need

And on Sundays we would gather round our table

And thank God for how he blessed our family

And for giving us a loving mom and daddy

Now mama and daddy they’ve been gone for some time now

And that old house gets lonesome now and then

But in the quiet we still can hear their laughter
