Who Am I

Maybe who I am is spelled on the back of my head

Neither hidden nor obvious

But the answer still eludes me

And no matter who I ask they do not seem to know

So I guess it's not

It may be in the skies

Written in some constellation, vividly painted in the clouds

But I've been looking up at night and for all I know

So far it's not

Is this how freedom's meant to feel?

Is all this searching even my ideal?

I feel like everyone around

Has their story written down

So if that's all that's to be found

Then tell me, who am I?

Maybe who I am stands on a billboard somewhere

Written thoughtfully in flashy neon lights

But the answer still eludes me

And no matter where I go it does not seem to show

So I guess it's not
