One Foot

These days, I don't want to write anything

I just let the words sit in my stomach

Till I'm throwing up almost everything

Like some shit that I'd say when I'm drunk

And I don't get high anymore

I just sit around with one foot out the door

Being unafraid of the picture I'd paint

And now every day gets me further away from that place

When the one thing you want is out of reach

And you'll never make it to shore with one foot out the door

I think eighteen was much better to me

But who's counting?

Since then, it feels like I've lost everything
