Endless Lullaby

I sit and watch as all the cars go by

The city sings its endless lullaby

White lights blind me

And the red lights fade

They're rushing towards me

Now they're going away

Maybe they are going home

Perhaps they're traveling alone

They could be headed somewhere new

I wonder if they are lost too

They are all silent as they pass me by
