Keep Shinin' Your Light

Woke up this mornin' soon as I opened my eyes

A new day was dawnin' sun was beaming in a bright blue sky

My heart was still beatin' and every single breath I took

Was writing the pages of a brand new chapter in my book

I'm thanking the Creator for mercy and grace

Giving me another chance in life to embrace

The opportunity for my voice to be heard

Inspiring me to share these encouraging words

Keep shinin' your light, respect your next of kin

Shinin' your light and every now and then

Keep shinin' your light shake a hand and make a friend

Shine on, Shine on

I know I'm not perfect neither is anyone else

But it sure would be worth it to be better versions of ourselves

With more understanding compassion and empathy

For one another we can make this a reality

Tomorrow is not promised so live for today

Appreciate the blessings that come your way

Many are called but the chosen are few
