I wish that I could write another song

That feels like rain on my tongue

And as I am making this complaint

Melodies pour down on me like rain

And metaphors appear inside my head

Like I am literate

My phone is a Nokia 3010

You can tell by my attention span, it's all a lie

And it's so lame ... to make a song about this

I can't blame

Anyone who'd rather live

And living well is a lost art

And I wish that I could finally write my book

The strongest longing I have ever seen

And from the kids who're crawling into holes to gather minerals

To the ADHD monsters that are our little ones

I wish it was a lie

And it's so lame to make a song about this
