The Bible says he knows all things

Why’d he let her get the best of me

An honest man with a heart set on love

He could have gave her a bad smile

Made her harder to chase and half as wild

But he made her about as perfect as could be

Well, he coulda had a little mercy on me

I’ve read the book, and I said my prayers

From a loud mouthed little 5-foot 4 inch blonde

I took her out even took her to church

She took everything and drug me through the dirt

With no way to clean myself up and move on
