Lyrics

Please give your arms to Deep Purple Nobody gonna take my car, I'm gonna race it to the ground Nobody gonna beat my car, it's gonna break the speed of sound Ooh, it's a killing machine, it got everything Like a driving power, big fat tires and everything I love it and I need it, I feel it! Yeah, it's a wild hurricane Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star Nobody gonna take my girl, I'm gonna keep her to the end Nobody gonna take my girl, she stays close on every bend Ooh, she's a killing machine, she's got everything Like a moving lips, body control and everything I love her and I need her, I seed her Yeah, she turns me on Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star Nobody gonna take my head now that I'm on the road again Nobody gonna take my head, I got speed inside my brain Ooh, I'm in heaven again, I've got everything Like an open road, I am a queen and everything I love it and I need it, I feel it Yeah, I'm in heaven again Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star Nobody gonna take my car, I'm gonna race it to the ground Nobody gonna take my car, I'm gonna break the speed of sound Ooh, it's a killing machine, it's got everything Like a driving power, big fat tires and everything I love it and I need it, I feel it Yeah, turns me on Alright, hold tight, I'm a highway star I'm a highway star, I'm a highway star Alright, thank you It's okay, you own me... Oh, they're paying me money so better to do when summoned That is uh, "Highway Star" Which incidentally is on the album released at the end of this month By the set Deep Purple called, "Machine Head" And uh, they'll be doing a single, which is taken from the LP, am I right? Yes? Later on in the show Meanwhile, I was going, I was thinking, I was, uh, When you're setting up here It's very hard to hear exactly what's going on So I thought I'd write a heavy link in between, and I came up with something like this The band are a rare commodity in that they came up with incredible LPs For instance, "Deep Rock", "Deep Purple in Rock" Was in the LP charts for uh, months and months again, wasn't it? And, and the other hand, they can do uh, incredible pop singles Which get to that no way put the group into another bag So if T. Rex can do it, this lot can do it
