I never got a chance to say goodbye

Time stops in each day

As I watch shadows settle down

In the background's where I'd stay

I'll still wait up at the nightstand

The world pulled through my chest

Stood at the edge for long enough

Overthinking it

Swallowed everything, even excess control

Our savior in many forms
