Helplessness

I've done a lot to ease the anxious thoughts I've known

Untold attempts to fend

Here comes the pain again

Like all the files that feed along my mouldy coated spine

I seek the rot in me

I've worked so hard to bleach my joyless taste in wars

Yet my eyes well up again

Salt streams run down my skin

Depression's not a phase that passes once you're old

This makes me sad to think, I can't help but to sing
