it’s safe and warm as ever could seem

the hungry ghost wanders down the street

and looks for home between

maisy

you’re gentle and sweet

and strange and soft

but still bittersweet

surprises me in the funniest ways

and showed up right on time

in my eyes

cause it could be gone as soon as arrived

and i can’t face that for awhile

some things work out in a way

like you’re out in the sun without any shade

like a force

like a storm

like a cloud or a wave

there’s a push and a pull even if you run away

take care of me
