In an anxious whir, I'll hum myself to sleep

Peace and quiet down

The same motions I go through

Each and every day, it's how I'm keeping sane

It's that motion, forward backward inching way

It's that knowing, it won't be the same

And accepting to go on anyway

If I'm longing - what must I change?

Am I projecting onto someone or something?

It's these questions, that while I'm sleeping, make me wake

Am I honest? Learning?

Am I brave?

Will I walk in circles?

Will I learn to make it work or make the same mistakes?

Will it work like cursive?
