Wormhole

You are like headlights in the darkest night

Uncovering the clearing sky

Like walking after rain or sleeping when you’re tired

And I’ll shelter under the warmth of your love

Twelve hours of moonlight with the mist in the air

And darkness brings midnight and it throws away my care

With the morning comes sunrise and the wood pigeon’s call

And I rise from my pillow and I climb out of the wormhole

Sadness is a teacher who we must come to know

He lets us know where we can go

Like the wind that bites my cheeks or like the jasmine in the evening
