Three Gunas

ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate

iti matvā bhajante māṁ budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ

“I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.”

vedānāṁ sāma-vedo ’smi devānām asmi vāsavaḥ

indriyāṇāṁ manaś cāsmi bhūtānām asmi cetanā

“Of the Vedas I am the Sāma Veda; of the demigods I am Indra, the king of heaven; of the senses I am the mind; and in living beings I am the living force [consciousness]”.

etat saṁsūcitaṁ brahmaṁs tāpa-traya-cikitsitam

yad īśvare bhagavati karma brahmaṇi bhāvitam

“O Brāhmaṇa Vyāsadeva, it is decided by the learned that the best remedial measure for removing all troubles and miseries is to dedicate one's activities to the service of the Supreme Lord Personality of Godhead [Śrī Kṛṣṇa”].

kurvāṇā yatra karmāṇi bhagavac-chikṣayāsakṛt

gṛṇanti guṇa-nāmāni kṛṣṇasyānusmaranti ca

“While performing duties according to the order of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one constantly remembers Him, His names and His qualities”.
