Last Train Home

I caught the train leaving premature desire.

The untimely blaze may peacefully expire.

I’m travelling through a monochrome

some distant light supplies some white

while I am sitting on the last train home.

This special train is fragmenting time and space

as it drives us forth into yesterday’s pace.

All noise in step like a metronome

that slices time along the line

This very train finally takes me straight to you.

We have more to share than just a night or two.
