When you have moved around a lot

You learn what you are, and what you are not

It doesn't really matter what you do

The other kids only see that you're new

It's the hardest thing you ever did

Makes you feel like you could flip your lid

The longest slide down you ever slid

And that's what it's like

We were all new kids once upon a time

So if your life is just like mine

You have to know it's not so fine

As a new kid French was all I spoke

So I was just a great big joke

My first day as an acorn scout

They voted to toss the new kid out

We can all add something to this list

But it never really gets as bad as this
