In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 9 years old, I competed in 'dros idols' and later joined the Mpumalanga Youth Choir. My music career kicked off with a cover of You're Somebody Else by Flora Cash, performed with Row-Lean. Those early experiences fuel my artistry today.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aly & AJ, a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun (deluxe) Ben Howard, I Forget Where We Were Lana Del Rey, Born to Die - The Paradise Edition Ben Howard hits me in the emotions every time. A go-to for tough days. Aly & Aj's album is a feel-good favourite, with spot-on production and songwriting that brings back memories. I'm a huge Lana Del Rey fan; her music speaks directly to my soul.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Not Enough” It holds a special place in my heart as my first original release. It's a vulnerable reflection on my own insecurities and the journey towards feeling "enough". Heavily influenced by Ben Howard, it helped me heal and find strength through trauma.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Creating my album "MANIAC". It reflects on the toughest year of my life and gave me a chance to work with my favourite South African artists and closest friends. It was a journey of growth, healing, and producing something I'm incredibly proud of.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As an artist, I still have two big goals left on my bucket list: to be recognized internationally and to master the skill of playing the guitar. Both would be incredible achievements that would take my career to the next level.
