Thee Oh Sees might be rooted in the Bay Area's garage rock scene, but they've quickly outgrown the association. Originally a John Dwyer solo project, the band expanded and came into their own with 2008's The Master's Bedroom is Worth Spending a Night In. Since then, they've broadened their creative horizons, with 2010's Warm Slime dabbling in krautrock and 2011's ambitious Carrion Crawler/The Dream moving into an experimental psych-rock realm. Despite going on hiatus in the ‘10s, they still managed to release the album Drop in 2014.
