When Buckcherry dropped “Lit Up” in 1999, it heralded the return of hard rock that was rude, lewd, and stuffed with ferociously driving riffs. Here was a band that had no use for grunge’s angst or nu-metal’s darkness; all they wanted to do was churn out wall-rattling odes to decadence that would make their idols in AC/DC pleased as punch.
