The Terrys have a reputation for radiating positive vibes. Even while daydreaming about escape on 2021’s “Our Paradise” or lamenting a brutal hangover on the same year’s “Cost the Peace,” singer Jacob Finch’s gravelly voice betrays lackadaisical leanings that suit the quintet’s beachy airs and chiming jangle. Finch doubled down on his peaceable attitude on 2022’s “Good Days,” enlisting Bliss n Eso’s Esoterik and local rapper Scraps for some on-point rhymes about keeping your head up before penning a pair of spiritual sequels in 2023’s “No Bad Days” and 2024’s “Ziggy’s Mine.” No wonder The Terrys have long been hailed as deserving heirs to the slacker surf rock of Dune Rats and Hockey Dad. They’re all about facing life’s challenges with a skip in their step and, ideally, a cold drink in hand.
