In America Mad Cobra is known mainly for “Flex,” the slinky and salacious hit that crossed over to rap and R&B charts in 1992. He'd already seen success in Jamaica, with a number of gangsta-themed singles that made him an early star of reggae's dancehall explosion. A second U.S. album,Milkman, featured more of his now-trademark risque lyrics alongside some more surprising R&B ballads. While he never matched the commercial success of “Flex," he continued to release albums until 2004 and guested with the Swedish EDM group Teddybears in 2006.
