Keanu Beats: The Producers
Playlist - 46 Songs
Earning both a Grammy and a Taylor Swift collab before age 30, Keanu Torres—known professionally as Keanu Beats—has become one of Australia’s most in-demand producers for overseas artists. The Melbourne native started making beats as a teen before landing a placement on Migos’ 2017 trap track “What the Price.” That led to a slew of prestigious credits, including 2019’s The Lion King-inspired Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar collab “NILE.” Torres worked with Onefour and The Kid LAROI to capture menacing Sydney swagger on 2020’s “My City,” before hooking up with everyone from Drake and Nicki Minaj to Travis Scott and Lil Baby. And yes, he supplied the woozy hook for Swift’s 2023 synth-pop spellbinder “Karma,” as well as its tweaked version featuring Ice Spice. His talent for dreamy sounds came in especially handy on Doechii’s multilayered 2024 cut “SLIDE,” which secured Torres the aforementioned Grammy when Alligator Bites Never Heal won Best Rap Album. That in turn helped to earn him an International Recognition Award at the APRAs in 2025, just a few weeks after Playboi Carti’s MUSIC—on which Torres contributed to several tracks—topped the charts in multiple countries.
