The brainchild of Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiaracina, La rappresentante di lista (also known as LRDL) started life as a duo in Palermo, but they’re now a fully fledged band. Self-described as “queer pop”, their music runs the gamut of human emotions. They’re equally capable of writing a seriously stirring ballad like “Woow”—evoking the dramatic denouement of a romantic movie—as they are upbeat, endorphin-releasing dance floor fillers such as “Amare” and “Apriti cielo!”. Whether fun or forlorn, these songs are made to be felt, not just heard.
