German pop singer, actress and tv host Jasmin Wagner aka Blumchën became involved in dance music after meeting producers Arn Schlürmann and Stani Djukanovic. They teamed up to make her first single called "Herz an Herz," followed by "Kleiner Satellit (Piep, Piep)," and "Boomerang,". Blumchën's debut album entitled Herzfrequenz was released in German and English (issued as Heartbeat by Blossom). The dance-pop newcomer joined Queen's tribute album Queen Dance Traxx 1 with a remake of "Bicycle Race," before getting an Echo Ward (known as the German Grammy and achieved once again by the artist in 1999).
In May, 1997 her second album Verliebt featured a catchy version of Nur Geträunt from Nena's 1983 debut album and the single hit "Verliebt," aka "In Love,". In 1998 Blumchën covered Rozalla's smash "Everybody's Free," and in 2000 the Bangles' "Walk Like An Egyptian,".
In 2001 Jasmin Wagner turned into acting with the role of Ingrid In Driven the car racing and generation gap type of movie directed by Renny Harlin. ~ Drago Bonacich
