Singer Tamela Mann performed with gospel legend Kirk Franklin before she launched a successful solo career, scooping up some of the industryās biggest awards along the way.
ā Mann led an all-star group of vocalists, including Bono and Mary J. Blige, on Kirk Franklinās āLean On Me,ā from 1998ās Grammy-winning The Nu Nation Project.
ā Thanks to the smash hit āTake Me to the King,ā 2012ās Gold-certified Best Days racked up multiple awards and led Billboardās decade-end Top Gospel Albums chart.
ā Her 2016 album, One Way, earned her a Grammy Award (for āGod Providesā), and a record for most No. 1s on Billboardās Gospel Airplay chart, after āChange Meā took the top spot.
ā In 2018, she received the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award from the Stellar Awards, honoring her nearly 30-year career in gospel music.
