The combination of airy indie pop, glistening synth pop, and vintage Greek pop of Stella (stylized Σtella) is often stamped with a melancholy, romantic undercurrent. After making waves in Greece with Σtella in 2015, her third album, 2020's The Break, marked her international debut. She signed with Sub Pop for 2022's Up and Away, which was styled after the idea of '60s and '70s record-store finds by producer Redinho. Inspired by the idea of slowing down, the self-produced Adagio followed in 2025 and included her first two Greek-language songs.
