Hudson Moore is a country singer/songwriter who really knows his way around a guitar. Not only do his expressive, rock-inflected licks light up Getaway, but he's also a multi-instrumentalist who wails on about a dozen different axes over the course of the record. Still, this isn't show-off stuff by any stretch of the imagination; on hook-heavy tracks like "Might as Well" and "Don't Wanna Lose You," it's clear that anthemic, romantic tunes full of Texas twang and pure pop sensibilities come right from the Fort Worth native's heart.
