Acerca de Suzi Quatro
Biografía de este/a artista
In the male-dominated ’70s rock scene, leather-jumpsuit-clad Suzi Quatro stood out thanks to her fierce demeanor and musical swagger. That ferocity translated to a string of hard-rocking glam classics—“Can the Can,” “Devil Gate Drive,” and “48 Crash”—that made her a star in Australia and Europe. Quatro, however, was American: Born in Detroit in 1950, she gained experience first playing bongos in her dad’s jazz combo, the Art Quatro Trio, and later served as bassist in the pioneering ’60s garage-rock band The Pleasure Seekers with her sister Patti. Alongside her successful musical career, Quatro branched out into acting, most notably playing Leather Tuscadero on the sitcom Happy Days, and became a radio host on BBC Radio 2. She’s continued to maintain a robust touring schedule and release characteristically heavy new albums, such as 2021’s tough-as-nails The Devil in Me.
