Biografía de este/a artista
Southern soul singer Shirley Brown was discovered by bluesman Albert King in the mid-1970s, and he helped her get signed to the Stax label, for whom she recorded her 1975 debut album, WOMAN TO WOMAN. The title track became a soul classic, but the label soon went under. Brown moved to Arista, but her sales dipped sharply, and she fell below the radar until her “comeback” period, which began with her 1989 single “Ain't Nothin' Like the Lovin' We Got.” A series of minor R&B hits followed over the next few years, giving her career a new lease on life.
