Mixing Latin pop and contemporary flamenco, Papá Levante debuted with the release of Tomalacaté, featuring the hit singles "Me Pongo Colorada" and "Practicar Sexo." Gala, Iren, Sandra, Maria, Pao, and Sonia were discovered by producer José Luis Carlos, when they were getting ready to sing along with Azúcar Moreno and Chayanne before making the decision to go on their own, supported by local composers José Miguel Evora and Carmen Blanco Zambrano. ~ Drago Bonacich
