Singer/songwriter Coque Malla became involved in the Spanish new wave while leading a band called los Ronaldos. Mostly influenced by the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen, Malla made six albums with his pop/rock band, debuting as a solo artist with the release of Soy un Astronauta Mas in 1999. In addition, Malla teamed up with Alex Olmedo, calling themselves las Mentiras and touring around Spain playing their favorite rock classics. ~ Drago Bonacich
