Bradley Cooper is an American actor who ventured into music for his Oscar-nominated role in the 2018 film A Star Is Born.
∙ Cooper said he decided to become an actor as a child, after he saw John Hurt in David Lynch’s 1980 film The Elephant Man.
∙ His first film appearance was in the 2001 film Wet Hot American Summer, and he found early fame in a supporting role on TV’s Alias.
∙ He spent four years preparing for his role in 2018’s A Star is Born (which he also directed), including guitar, piano, and voice lessons.
∙ The Jason Isbell-penned “Maybe It’s Time” was Cooper’s first solo single to make the Billboard Hot 100, and it became his first Gold record.
∙ “Shallow,” his blockbuster A Star Is Born duet with Lady Gaga, sold over 10 million copies, won an Oscar for Best Original Song, and won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
∙ The soundtrack for A Star Is Born topped the charts in 22 countries, including the US, and was the fourth best-selling album in the world in 2019.
